People tend to not believe me when I tell them that I am truly the ultimate Chicago Cubs fan, especially when I point out that I live in Pittsburgh, home of the rival Pirates. I spend a lot of time on the road and in Chicago hotel rooms, given that I try to catch at least twenty home games a year -a total that comes to well over two hundred games seen in person since I started really getting into baseball. People ask how I can afford this hobby, but when I buy Terrace cheap seats at $42 each and stay at Chicago hotels that offer good rates, it’s really not that expensive. Certainly a lot less than if I took up golf and had to pay for clubs, membership and green fees.
